This is your formal invitation to have dinner at ours, Anisa, Shannon and Ashwin’s. Like every family dinner there’ll be laughter, provocation and things that you can’t say at work. 3 comics from 3 different worlds share their table for a funny, bent night.
This is a stand-up comedy show which traverses the themes of race, politics, women’s and LGBTQIA+ rights and politics. It calls on lived experiences and observations of social landscapes to bring forth hilarious observations of the world.
Having been born in India, but dragged through a childhood covering New Zealand, Malaysia, England and Australia, Ashwin’s comedy touches on cultural issues with an often absurd take. His style is slightly dry with elements of physical comedy.
Anisa Nandaula is a Ugandan comic who is new to the form but has hit the comedy scene with a bang exploring issues of race and family.
Shannon Brooke is a charismatic comic who uses music, story telling and unique insights to captivate any crowd.
